Wormwood (Artemisia absinthium) is a perennial plant in the Asteraceae family, genus Artemisiaceae. It grows in pastures and meadows, sandy loams, forests, and mountainous areas of Mangystau. Height: 60–100 cm, sometimes reaching 120 cm. The root is thick. The flowers are small, collected in inflorescences. It blooms and bears fruit in July–June.Wormwood has a special value as a medicinal plant. Its infusion is often used to improve digestion and stimulate food intake. Prospective search for plant material with medicinal properties among seed plants. For this, it has its own variety, distribution and large reserves of raw materials. Wormwood bitter Artemisia Absinthium is used in folk medicine. This is due to the unique chemical composition of Artemisia Absinthium. The medicinal properties of the herb are explained by the fact that it is enriched with natural biologically active components.
