GENERATIVE AI IN THE EDUCATION SYSTEM OF KAZAKHSTAN: DIRECTIONS OF APPLICATION AND CURRENT STATE

This article discusses the main areas of application of generative artificial intelligence (Generative AI) in the education system of Kazakhstan and the current state of its development. The aim of the study is to identify the role of generative AI technologies such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Midjourney in the learning process, advantages and problems encountered. Areas of application of generative AI in education include: compilation of teaching materials, verification of tasks and providing feedback, personalization of training, as well as the conduct of creative and research projects by students. As for the current situation, the introduction of generative AI technologies in Kazakhstan is at an early stage. Leading universities are testing these tools, however, at the level of secondary education, their use is limited. In addition, problems such as academic integrity, copyright, data security and the weakening of critical thinking skills were also identified. The results of the study substantiate the need to implement best practices, improve the digital literacy of teachers and update the rules of academic integrity in order to effectively integrate generative AI into the educational process.
