The Arduino platform enables the implementation of a variety of engineering, educational, and practical projects by integrating various sensors and electronic devices. This article examines the physical principles of determining the distance to objects using an ultrasonic sensor, measurement methods, signal processing algorithms, and software interaction with the Arduino microcontroller. The device is applicable in robotics, automated control and monitoring systems, security technologies, navigation, and the design of smart devices. The system also promotes the development of practical skills in the educational process, the development of engineering thinking, and the mastery of circuit design principles and embedded systems. The article describes the connection diagram, calibration, and the output of results via a serial port. It also highlights sources of error, conditions for measurement repeatability, and recommendations for setting up in real-world conditions.
